Piano and Cello at the Grand Canyon

The Piano Guys

The Piano Guys David Guetta / Faure playing at the Grand Canyon

What do you get when you mix up a marketing genius that does video, a studio engineer that writes music, a pianist that had a successful solo career, and a cellist that does pretty much everything? The Piano Guys: a miraculous meeting of “guys” with the same intrinsic purpose – to make a positive impact in the lives of people all over the world through music videos.

They’re not your average musical group, but they’re not your average rock stars, either. Four Utah dads became piano movers of sorts, and in the process exploded into global music video sensations known as The Piano Guys. Lee Cowan introduces us to the men behind the YouTube hits.

The Piano Guys began their quest to perform at all of the Seven Wonders of the World two years ago when they played on the Great Wall of China. Pianist Jon Schmidt described it as a surreal experience that had him thinking, “Wow, I’m glad my mom made me practice.

The video soundtrack is no longer available.
